When it debuted in 2011, a big splash was made by the outgoing Sonata for its V6-replacing turbocharged four-cylinder, but for an evocative, standout layout that helped to move the whole section in a way that was fashionable. But unlike its forerunner, shock and awe is not more than the 2015 Sonata, with understated good-looking sheetmetal that is meant to share an upscale, Genesis-like hint and atmosphere at technology and the more advanced cottage within.
