GM recalls 316K vehicles to resolve headlamp failure

General Motors has announced a recall campaign to resolve headlight failures in various older Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Isuzu and Saab models.
The company has discovered a problem with the headlamp driver module, which is prone to malfunction. Drivers can experience intermittent loss of low beams or daytime-running lights, though the high beams and other lamps are said to remain unaffected.Affected models include the 2006-2009 Buick LaCrosse, the 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender, and the 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy.The company claims to be unaware of any accidents or injuries associated with the defect, which affects a total of more than 316,000 vehicles globally.
